CAROLINA RUNNING COMPANY is a new race management service serving the Carolinas. Specializing in directing and managing road and cross country races, we strive to provide a great time for you at any of our races. We use the ITS Jaguar Silver Timing System which is a powerful RFID Chip Timing System used for running events, mountain bike races, triathlons, road cycling, and more! Our system can manage races up to 10,000 people.

We recognize that running, walking, cycling and multi-sport events help raise thousands of dollars for charities and other organizations. We believe that running, hiking, walking, and biking are worthy causes thats makes a better person and a healthier community. We also recognize the benefit of bringing families and communities together through these activities. We started this business on these beliefs and we hope you'll share them with us.

The events we manage help to build awareness in the Carolinas by promoting your cause while raising needed funds for your organization. We'll guide your organization through every aspect of planning for your event. From the initial concept to the wrap-up meeting, we'll be there to help insure that your event is a success.

CAROLINA RUNNING COMPANY WEBSITE - We'll promote your event through the use of our website. Participants can view complete details of your event and register online at our user friendly site.
EVENT ENTRY FORMS - We'll assist you in designing your event registration form, distribute it to local fitness centers and at events we manage and actively participate in. Your downloadable entry form will be displayed on our website for easy access by all possible participants.
ONLINE REGISTRATION - Your event will be set up for online registration use for participants who wish to pay by credit card. The participant will be charged an additional fee for using this online service. You will receive the full registration fee in a check made out to your organization.
MEDIA COVERAGE - We'll send out press releases to local and state newspapers to be printed in the community activities or sports section. We can not guarantee actual coverage.
EVENT COURSE MANAGEMENT - We'll help you layout a run/walk course that will be accurately measured and as safe as possible. We'll help you obtain approval from local government. We'll work with your volunteers, local and state police, and volunteer fire department to insure that your event is safe for all participants.
EVENT DAY MANAGEMENT - We'll make sure your event course is clearly marked and set up on event day. We'll manage all the behind scene activities to insure a fun and successful event. As part of our services, we'll work with your organization to check in participants, present awards and make any announcements you would like. Our staff will accurately record all finish results and display these results on race day and on our website.

Congratulations to Keith Jones from Hartsville and Savanna Rivas from Darlington for being the top male and female runners in the 5K race. In the 10K, it was David McCracken and Britton Yarborough who were the top male and female runners. If you haven't registered for the National Trails Day and/or the Hartsville YMCA Lickity Split races, now is a good time. Great run today and great turnout.

National Trail Days 5K
June 2nd - 8:00 a.m
The purpose is to promote awareness of the wide variety of benefits that trails provide, to encourage people to discover their local trails, to increase awareness of trail issues, and to instill excitement for outdoors to include trail running and walking/hiking. The race starts at McLeod Fitness and runs onto the rail trail. This should be a fun race with a lot of local runners.

Hartsville Family YMCA Lickety Split 5K & Fun Run June 9th - 8:00 a.m (5k Run/Walk) & 9:15 a.m (Fun Run)
This race starts in front of the Hartsville Family YMCA and runs through the beautiful and historic areas of Hartsville. This race will have some of the greater Pee Dee areas top runners. The entry fee for Hartsville Family YMCA members is $20 on or before 6/1 and then $25 on or after 6/2. For non-members the entry fee is $25 on or before 6/1 and the $30 on or after the 6/2. In addition, this race is offering a Special Family Rate for up to 4 immediate family members. For Family YMCA members it is $60 for members and $80 for non-members. This rate is only available to pre-registered runners only and can only be obtained by registering on-site at the Family YMCA in Hartsville. Spirit of Florence 5K & 1Mile Fun Walk
June 30th - 8:00 a.m
This race begins at Timrod Park and is organized by the Florence Track Club and City of Florence Parks & Beautification Department. This is a great run that winds through the historic neighborhoods around Timrod Park. There is a lot shade on the run with a few mild hills. This is a great run if you are looking for a fun race to kick off the weekend before July 4th. Click here for more information and a registration form.

Move IT! Family Fun Run 5K - August 11.
This race is sponsored by HopeHealth, a non-profit dedicated to providing primary care medicine to the community regardless of a person's insurance status or ability to pay. The race will help raise funds for the organization's "Children of Hope" project that provides support to children who live in the Pee Dee who are affected by HIV.
