Taylor's Story
On August 1, 2009 our lives were shattered when Taylor lost his life in a car accident on his way to visit Charleston. Taylor was a rising senior at West Florence High School and had already mapped out his life with the next chapter after high school being he was planning on attending the College of Charleston. Taylor was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, on May 21, 1992. His only sibling and brother, Brian, was born 13 months earlier in April 1991. Because Taylor's dad was in the Air Force, Taylor moved various times in his early life living in South Carolina, Mississippi, Delaware, Texas, and Pennsylvania. Our family's passion was to hike, kayak, and run races and our travels to different places gave us the opportunity to experience different outdoor adventures while strengthening our love and appreciation for each other. Along with outdoor adventures, Taylor loved and enjoyed being around his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grand parents. Each summer he looked forward to the annual family beach trip with all of them and it was Taylor who wanted to move home to Florence, SC, after his dad retired from the Air Force.
